Munich, SANA- Turkish Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, has affirmed the need to preserve Syria’s territorial integrity and political sovereignty, and to form an inclusive government in the new phase.
“The new administration in Syria is responding quite well to the requests of International and Regional Communities”, Turkish Anadolu Agency quoted Fidan as saying in a statement on the sidelines of the 61st Munich Security Conference(MSC).
Fidan noted that regional countries are in consensus on the issue of Syria, he stressed that the most important principles are ensuring Syria’s sovereignty and confronting terrorism there.
He went on saying “one of the most important issues in ensuring Syria’s stability is setting up single national army and that the country’s new administration is addressing this issue in a “very comprehensive way.”
“Our primary objective and occupation at the moment regarding Syria is how to help them in reconstruction and how to get the economy back again and then rebuild the government institutions,” he explained.
