Idleb, SANA- Syrian Arab Army units have liberated Ma’asaran town and al-Sawami’a village, in the surroundings of Ma’aret al-Nu’aman city in Idleb southern countryside after fierce clashes with Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists and the affiliated terrorist groups.
SANA’s reporter said that after liberating al-Za’alana last night which overlooks Ma’aret al-Nu’aman-Saraqeb international highway, and after establishing control on al-Dana village west of the international highway, army units operating in Idleb countryside on Monday expanded their operations to the northeast towards Ma’asaran town and al-Sawami’a village, southeast of Saraqeb city.
The reporter added that army units engaged in fierce clashes against gatherings and fortifications of terrorist organizations in Ma’asaran town and al-Sawami’a village, in the surroundings of Ma’aret al-Nu’aman city, one of the main strongholds of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists which includes hundreds of foreign mercenaries among its ranks.
The reporter added that the clashes ended by establishing control over Ma’asaran town and al-Sawami’a village after crushing the last gatherings of terrorists in them and tightening the noose on terrorists in Ma’aret al-Nu’aman from the eastern and northern directions.
Army units on Sunday liberated the towns and villages of Ma’ar Shourin, al-Za’alana, al-Ghadfeh and al-Dana in Idleb southern countryside after eliminating terrorists from them as the units reached Aleppo-Hama International Highway, north of Ma’aret al-Nu’aman City.
