Damascus, SANA- The temperatures will slightly drop to become from 3 to 5 degrees below average as the country is affected by a low air pressure in all layers of the atmosphere accompanied by a cold and wet air mass.
The Meteorology Department expected in its Tuesday bulletin that the weather will be partially cloudy to cloudy and rainy in most areas and rains will be heavy and accompanied by thunder sometimes while snow will fall over the mountains whose height exceeds 1,000 meters.
The wind will be southwesterly with a low to moderate speed and the sea waves will be low to medium in height.
Tomorrow, the skies will be clear to partially cloudy in general and the fog and frost are expected in most of the inland areas while the temperatures will rise, yet they will remain from 2 to 4 degrees below average.
Different amounts of rainfalls were registered in the Syrian provinces over the past 24 hours as follows: Lattakia 85mm, Damascus 10 mm, Sweida 3 mm, Daraa 6 mm, Quneitra 16 mm, Homs 15 mm, Hama 28 mm, Tartous 36 mm and Aleppo 6 mm.
The expected temperatures in some of the major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 10/2, Daraa 9/3, Homs 10/4, Lattakia 13/8, Aleppo 7/2 and Deir Ezzor 11/4.
