Damascus, SANA- Syria and United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) discussed services provided by the agency to Palestinian refugees in various fields, in addition to its work plan for the next year.
That came during a meeting between Social Affairs and Labor Minister, Eng. Samar Al-Sibai and Director of UNRWA in Syria, Amanya Michael.
Minister al-Sibai underlined the importance of cooperating with international organizations to exert more efforts so that Palestinians would receive the necessary aid and support, calling on UNRWA to focus the work, over the coming period, on small and micro projects since their role in creating job opportunities for families especially returnees from Lebanon.
She highlighted the Syrian government’s efforts in providing all necessary support to UNRWA to carry out its tasks in all areas that include Palestinians.
In turn, Michael reviewed UNRWA’s work plan and the services it will provide to Palestinian refugees, stressing that UNRWA is doing its utmost to support Palestinian refugees through several programs of technical training, small projects and other activities.
