Damascus, SANA-Russian forces operating in Syria have reinforced their deployment near “the disengagement force zone” on the outskirts of the occupied Syrian Golan, by establishing several observation points along this area in the countryside of Quneitra and Daraa.
“The forces, in coordination with the Syrian Arab Army, established 9 observation points along the disengagement force zone, whose mission is to carry out surveillance operations by air and land,” Deputy Commander of the Russian forces operating in Syria, General Alexander Rodionov, said in a press statement.
Rodionov added that the Russian forces, which began their mission in Syria in 2015 at the request of the Syrian state, did not withdraw from any point in this region, but rather reinforced their presence through these observation points, and “everything that is reported in some media outlets other than that is false.”
