Cabinet decides to reactivate al-Sheikh Najjar industrial city

Damascus, SANA – In its weekly session chaired by Prime Minister Imad Khamis, the Cabinet tasked the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources with studying the state of gas stations in the provinces, and to continue opening new stations in city centers and on international roads via the Syrian Company for the Distribution of Petroleum Products.

As a part of the governmental plan to revitalize the production process, the Cabinet decided to reactivate the industrial city of al-Sheikh Najjar in Aleppo city and provide all the required supplies for this purpose, in addition to offering the necessary protection for it in cooperation with the Interior Ministry.

The Cabinet called on the ministries that own properties that have been attached for the purpose of investment, whether in Damascus or the rest of the provinces, to reevaluate these projects in order to make optimal use of them.

The Cabinet also approved a bill amending the law for establishing the Syrian Authority for Family and Population Affairs.
