Cabinet approves bill on resolving status of delegated students

Cabinet, SANA – The Cabinet approved in its weekly session chaired by Prime Minister Imad Khamis on Tuesday a bill on resolving the status of delegated students who were late in acquiring the required degree or in returning to Syria.

The Cabinet also formed a work team to study the situation of the shipping containers stations in Tartous and Lattakia harbors in order to facilitate exports, in addition to approving the use of railway transportation for food and produce among the provinces of Lattakia, Tartous, and Homs to reduce shipping costs.

The Cabinet approved a bill restructuring the aerial transportation sector in order to make the legislations compatible with international regulations and to meet the demand of the local market, with the bill giving the Syrian Civil Aviation Authority permission to regulate this sector and related services, which covers ownership and leasing of airplanes, and licensing the construction, use, or investment of airports.

The bill also covers air mail regulations, the flight safety program, transportation of individuals and goods, and aerial servitude, among other things.
