Israeli occupation authorities refuse to release Golan prisoner Iyad al-Jawhari

Occupied Golan, SANA – The Israeli occupation authorities rejected on Sunday a request for early release of the prisoner Iyad al-Jawhari from the occupied Syrian Golan who has been in Israeli jails for nearly four years.

The Israeli Central Court in Nazareth city in northern occupied Palestine refused to give early release to al-Jawhari after the so-called Release Committee had earlier agreed to the request after the prisoner has already spent two thirds of his imprisonment period.

Al-Jawhari’s file was referred to the Nazareth Central Court by the Israeli prosecution on the 1st of February for a final decision.

The occupation forces arrested al-Jawhari in 2012 after returning to the occupied Golan from homeland Syria via Quneitra crossing, sentencing him to 6 years in prison.
