Rainfalls in different provinces… Sunday weather: Partly cloudy to rainy

Damascus, SANA- The temperatures will continue to drop to become slightly below average as the country is being affected by a low air pressure in all layers of the atmosphere accompanied by a relatively cold and wet air mass.

The Meteorology Department expected in its Sunday bulletin that the skies will be partly cloudy to cloudy and rainy in different areas and snow is expected to fall over the mountains.

The wind will be westerly to northwesterly moderate with active gusts and the sea waves will be medium in height.

Tomorrow, the skies will continue to be clear to partly cloudy in general and local rain showers are expected over al-Jazeera areas while the temperatures will be around average or slightly lower.

The expected temperatures in the major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 13/03, Daraa 14/3, Homs 10/3, Hama 12/4, Hasaka 11/4, Lattakia 16/08, Aleppo 10/3and Deir Ezzor 15/04.

Different amounts of rainfalls were registered in the Syrian provinces over the past 24 hours as follows: 100 mm in Homs, 70 mm in Lattakia, 70 mm in Hama, 68 mm in Tartous, 56 mm in Quneitra, 37 mm in Sweida,30 mm in Daraa and 28 mm in Damascus Countryside.

The Traffic Department at Ministry of Interior said that till 09:00 AM Sunday, all the roads were open in Sweida province, except the road leading to al-Mushannaf area which is closed to the accumulation of snow.

The Department called upon the drivers to use fog lights and to check up the brakes and the general technical situation of their cars, and to reduce speed at the roundabouts and slopes and to drive carefully to avoid any accidents.
