A Syrian referee is appointed as an official at FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023

Damascus – SANA- The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) appointed the Syrian international referee, Wissam Zain, to participate in the umpiring of the men’s basketball World Cup matches.

The World Cup will be hosted by multiple nations in Asia; the Philippines, Japan, and Indonesia, from August 25th to September 10th 2023, and this is the first time that a Syrian referee is present in the men’s World Cup finals.
