Health Ministry: 78 new Coronavirus cases registered, 5 patients recovered, 2 passed away

Damascus, SANA – The Health Ministry announced on Saturday that 78 new Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases have been registered in Syria, and that 5 patients have recovered while 2 others have passed away.

In a statement, the Ministry said that the total number of patients infected with the Coronavirus reached 1593, and the total number of recoveries is 408 while the total number of deaths reached 60.

The first Coronavirus case in the country was registered on March 22nd while the first death was reported on 29th of the same month.
