Wednesday weather forecast: Temperatures below average, rainfalls expected

Damascus, SANA – The temperatures remain 3 to 6 degrees below average as the country is affected by a superficial low air pressure accompanied by southwestern cold and wet air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

The Meteorology Department expected in its Wednesday bulletin that the weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy and rainy in the coastal areas, while sleet and snow will fall over the northern areas and the mountains and later extend to cover all the other areas.

The winds will be southeasterly of moderate speed, while the sea waves will be low to medium in height.

Different amounts of rainfalls were registered in the Syrian provinces over the past 24 hours as follows, with the heaviest being in Tartous 8,5 mm and in Lattakia 29,8 mm.

The expected temperatures in some of the major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 10/2, Daraa 11/2, Homs 9/0, Lattakia 14/7, Aleppo 4/0 and Deir Ezzor 11/4.
