Al-Hilal: Syria considers war against terrorism as a duty towards the whole world

Damascus, SANA – Activities of the meeting of the Permanent Office of the Arab Lawyers’ Union kicked off at al-Sham Hotel in Damascus under the title “States’ right to fight terrorism”.

Assistant Regional Secretary of the al-Baath Arab Socialist Party Hilal al-Hilal said that this important meeting is held during a remarkable stage in the history of Syria and its war against terrorism, extending warm appreciation and gratitude to the heroes of the Syrian army who fight hard to restore security and stability to the steadfast city of Aleppo and later on to Raqqa and Idleb.

Addressing the participating lawyers, al-Hilal conveyed President Bashar al-Assad’s heartfelt greetings to the honest lawyers throughout the Arab Nation who stressed states’ right to fight terrorism, noting that Syria considers combating terrorism a duty towards its people, the Arab Nation and the whole world.

The Syrian Lawyers’ Chief, Nizar Skeif said that today’s meeting stresses that the Arab Lawyers’ Union will remain a strong defender of the Nation’s rights in Syria, Palestine, Iraq and other states, adding that Syria’s people, army and leadership will continue to fight terrorism till victory.

He condemned the Qatar-led campaign to defame the image of the Egyptian army, stressing that all conspiracies will be foiled.

Secretary General of Arab Lawyers Union Abdul Latif Bouachrine said Syria will always be the heart of Arabism and Islam, calling upon all to rally around the Syrian people and leadership in their battle against terrorism and reject any foreign intervention in their internal affairs.

Chairman of Arab Lawyers Union and Chairman of Egypt Bar Association Sameh Ashour said that we are here today to reiterate our support to the Syrian state, people, army and leadership, noting that Syria is fighting a very serious and important battle against international powers which attempt to fragment its territorial integrity.

He stressed that Syria will achieve victory, defeat the invaders and prepare to launch the reconstruction process.

In a statement to SANA, the Lebanese lawyer Boushra al-Khalil underlined the lawyers’ key role in holding those involved in the war on Syria accountable for their crimes while the Iraqi lawyer Diaa al-Sa’adi said that his participation aims at expressing support to Syria and its people in their battle against terrorism.

Delegations from Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Palestine, Morocco, Oman and Lebanon as well as the representative of the International Lawyers’ Union in the Middle East region are taking part in the three-day meeting.
