Syria, Iran discuss coordination means to help arrivals from Lebanon

Damascus, SANA- Iran and Syria discussed means to reinforce the levels of coordination regarding the emergency response to Lebanese arrivals and Syrian returnees to Syria, due to the blatant Israeli aggression on brotherly Lebanon.

That came during a meeting between Local Administration and Environment Minister, “Head of Supreme Relief Committee,” Eng. Louay Kharita, and Iranian Ambassador to Syria, Hussein Akbari.

During the meeting, minister Kharita affirmed the ongoing entry of Lebanese brothers via Jdeidat Yabous and Josieh border crossings, noting that the largest number of arrivals settled in Damascus countryside, then in Homs, followed by the rest of provinces.

The minister underlined the necessity to continue coordination with the ministries, authorities concerned, governmental organizations and national partners through Supreme Relief Committee to facilitate the procedures of the arrivals’ entry, secure the necessary needs and health services.

In turn, Akbari stressed the importance of continuing coordination on issue of emergency response to the arrivals, and supporting Syria’s efforts that opened doors to the Lebanese and secured their needs and requirements.
