Health Ministry: Providing more than 178,000 medical services to arrivals from Lebanon

Damascus, SANA- The humanitarian and medical response operations carried out by most official and non-governmental bodies for arrivals from Lebanon continue within the framework of responding to the repercussions of the ongoing Israeli aggression on Lebanon, as the cadres of the Ministry of Health work to provide free emergency and treatment services to arrivals within the available capabilities.

The Ministry of Health said in a statement on Tuesday that the ministry provided 178,281 free medical services during 61 days, benefiting more than 65,000 arrivals.

The Ministry added that the services provided included general medical services, surgical and emergency operations, psychological and reproductive health, as well as those related to people with chronic diseases, in addition to the necessary vaccines for children and the tetanus vaccine for women.

Since the first day of the Israeli aggression, the Ministry of Health has put all hospitals affiliated with its directorates in the border governorates with Lebanon on full readiness to receive any cases and has provided the crossings with ambulances equipped 24 hours a day, in addition to sending the necessary medicines and medical supplies.
