Damascus, SANA – The temperatures will continue to gradually drop, yet they remain 1 to 3 degrees above average as the country is still affected by superficial Indian low air pressure accompanied by western air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
The Meteorology Department expected in its Thursday bulletin that the skies will be clear to partly cloudy in general as the weather will be typical of summer, while the weather will be hot and misty in the eastern, al-Jazeera and al-Badiya “desert” areas.
The winds will be westerly to northwesterly with light to moderate speed and the sea waves will be low in height.
In the coming days, temperatures will be around average in most areas and local rain showers are expected in the northwestern and coastal areas, while the weather will be relatively hot and misty in the eastern, al-Jazeera and al-Badiya areas.
The expected temperatures in the major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 36/18, Daraa 33/18, Homs 31/18, Lattakia 32/24, Aleppo 35/23 and Deir Ezzor 39/24.
