Damascus, SANA – Temperatures remain 3 to 5 degrees above average as the country is still influenced by the Indian low pressure system accompanied by subtropical high air pressure in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
The Meteorology Department expected in its Friday bulletin that the skies will be clear to partly cloudy in general, while the weather will be hot with high levels of humidity in the southern and central areas during the night.
The department added that the weather will be very hot and misty in the eastern, al-Badiya (desert) and al-Jazeera areas.
The winds will be northwesterly of light to moderate speed, while the sea waves will be low in amplitude.
The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 41/24, Daraa 37/23, Homs 34/23, Lattakia 33/25, Aleppo 41/22 and Deir Ezzor 43/27.
