Damascus, SANA – Temperatures remain around or slightly above average in most areas as the country is influenced by the Indian low pressure system accompanied by northwestern air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
In its Wednesday bulletin, the Meteorology Department expected hot weather to prevail during the next few days, with the skies being clear to partly cloudy in general.
The weather will be hot and misty in the eastern, al-Badiya (desert) and al-Jazira areas and the wind will be westerly to northwesterly of moderate speed. The sea waves will be low to medium in amplitude, according to the bulletin.
The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 37/24, Daraa 34/23, Homs 32/23, Lattakia 31/24, Aleppo 36/24 and Deir Ezzor 41/25.
