Damascus, SANA – An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.2 on the Richter scale hit Sunday central Syria, 34 km to the southeast of Hama City and 5 km to the south of Salamiyeh city.
The National Center for Earthquakes said that another 3.9 magnitude earthquake rocked Liwa Iskenderun area at 9.19 am local time, centering at a depth of 12 km at the longitude 36.37 to the east and latitude 36.12 to the north.
A third earthquake with a magnitude of 4 on the Richter scale hit northwest of Palmyra city in Homs countryside.
The quake hit the city at 12:40 pm local time and was centered at a depth of 2 km, at the longitude 38.20 and latitude 34.70, according to the center.
