Moscow, SANA – The committee investigating the crash of the Russian MI-28N helicopter in Homs countryside earlier this month suggested that the crash was due to human error.
RT website quoted a source at the committee as saying on Saturday that analysis of the two black boxes of the helicopter confirmed the committee’s preliminary conclusion that the helicopter crashed not because of a technical failure but due to pilot error, explaining that both pilots made an error while flying at night over a rugged area with no clear features, causing the helicopter to hit the ground and their death.
The source added the helicopter’s crew, in their last flight prior to the crash, had not informed of any technical problems or that the helicopter was being shot at.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Russian Aerospace confirmed earlier that the crash of MI-28N helicopter in Syria on April 12 was due to an error during flight.
