Monday weather: Temperatures to drop, rainfalls expected

Damascus, SANA- The temperatures will gradually drop to become slightly below average as the country is being affected by a superficial low air pressure coming from the south and accompanied by southwestern wet air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

The Meteorology Department expected in its Monday bulletin that the weather will be partly cloudy to rainy and the rainfalls will be heavy and accompanied by thunder sometimes.

The wind will be southeasterly with a light to moderate speed and sometimes it becomes active while the sea waves will be from low to medium in height.

Tomorrow, the temperatures will continue to drop to become from 2 to 4 degrees below average and the weather will continue to be partly cloudy to cloudy and rainy over different areas.

The expected temperatures in the major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 18/11, Aleppo 18/8, Homs 16/7, Hama 17/9 and Lattakia 22/16.
