Havana, SANA – Assistant Regional Secretary of al-Baath Arab Socialist Party Hilal al-Hilal met president of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) Kenia Serrano Puig.
During the meeting, al-Hilal said that the war currently targeting Syria seeks to fragment and destroy it using terrorist sent to it by its enemies to commit heinous atrocities, asserting that Syria will emerge victorious over terrorism soon.
For her part, Puig said that Syria was an example of safe and stable countries, and that the Syrian people know how to defend their country and their sovereignty, lauding the steadfastness of President Bashar al-Assad who didn’t renounce Syria’s rights and who stood up to imperialism.
She voiced solidarity with the Syrian people and leadership, saying that Syria is the backbone of the Arab resistance.
Al-Hilal also met members of the Syrian community and Syrians students in Cuba, asserting to them that Syria’s enemies have underestimated the mettle of the Syrians who will never submit to injustice, lauding the positive role played by Syrian communities and students abroad.
He said Syria’s enemies employed mass media to carry out misdirection, forgery, and lies to undermine the Syrians’ morale and pressure them.
In turn, the Syrian community members and students affirmed their support for their brethren in Syria and for the Syrian Arab Army and President Bashar al-Assad.
