Hasaka receives 6,000 food packages from WFP

Hasaka, SANA- Hasaka province received a new batch of humanitarian aid provided by the World Food Program (WFP) through Nsaibeen border crossing.

The batch, which was delivered on Monday and Tuesday, consists of 6,135 food packages out of a total amount of 48,000 food packages expected to be received during the current year.

Issam al-Hussein, Director of social affairs in Hasaka, pointed out that total amount of food packages distributed so far has exceeded 40,000 packages, with around 6,000 packages left which will be distributed during the next couple of days days.

Each of the three batches of food aid included 46,000 packages, with each package weighing 60kg and containing rice, sugar, lentils, oil, pasta, beans, and wheat groats.
