President al-Assad receives Secretary General of the Arab Crescent and Red Cross organization

Damascus,SANA-President Bashar al-Assad met on Saturday Secretary General of the Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Organization Dr. Saleh bin Hamad Al-Tuwaijri and his accompanying delegation, in presence of Eng. Khaled Hboubati, President of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) and current President of the 48th session of the Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Organization (ARCO).

Meeting focused on the importance of Joint Arab action, especially in the humanitarian field, and the need to strengthen it at a time when Arab countries are experiencing several crises and disasters, as well as strengthening support for humanitarian organizations to be able to reach all affected people and in need at the appropriate time.

The meeting stressed that the priority in humanitarian work should be focused on supporting humanitarian responses in order to meet the needs of Syrians in the humanitarian and service sectors.
