Egyptian MP: Western coercive measures on Syria will not achieve their goals

Cairo, SANA- Egyptian MP Nashwa al-Deeb has condemned the unilateral coercive measures imposed by the US and Western states on Syria, affirming that they will not achieve their goals thanks to the steadfastness of the Syrian people.

In a statement to SANA correspondent in Cairo, al-Deeb said “these coercive economic measures have been imposed without any legal curbs and outside the international legitimacy for achieving colonial purposes.”

She added that the continuation of the measures imposed on Syria is completely rejected by all the free and resilient forces in the region and the world.

The Egyptian MP called on the free Arab peoples and the international and humanitarian organizations to exert more pressure for lifting these unjust coercive measures which are imposed on the steadfast Syrian people.
