Damascus, SANA-Caretaker Minister of Public Works and Housing, Suhail Muhammad Abdul Latif, discussed on Monday with Iranian Assistant Defense Minister, Ebrahim Mahmoudzadeh, means of strengthening cooperation between Syria and Iran in the domains of reconstruction and building.
In a statement to reporters, Minister Abdul Latif affirmed that a study has been made on the capability for mutual cooperation in the establishment of social, investment and real estate projects as the delegation will hold technical discussions with the sides concerned in the Real Estate Development and Investment Body and the General Establishment for Housing.
The Minister clarified that the talks dealt with the Iranian side’s contribution to implementing social housing projects of 8,000 apartments in addition to a real estate investment in areas to be named as “real estate development zones” supervised by the Public sector.
In a similar statement, the Iranian Assistant Defense Minister affirmed his country’s readiness to cooperate with Syria in all fields and sectors, depending on new capabilities and technologies that contribute to achieving a high quality, fast and less cost in reconstruction.
He referred to the importance of supporting the Syrian State and cooperation with the public and private sectors for the implementation of the projects.
