Syria, Iran discuss enhancing joint investments in free zones

Tehran, SANA – Ambassador of Syria in Iran Adnan Mahmoud discussed with advisor to the Iranian President and Secretary of Iranian Free Zones High Council Morteza Bank means of enhancing joint investments in the free zones sector by establishing joint industrial and commercial free zones.

During their meeting on Tuesday, Mahmoud stressed the importance of bolstering the role of the private sectors and companies in the two companies in the field of investment in free zones, which would benefit the two countries’ peoples and allow them to confront the economic war imposed on them.

He stressed that the sanctions imposed on Syria and Iran are a crime against humanity and hinder the two countries’ efforts to combat the Coronavirus.

For his part, Bank said that Iranian companies are ready to cooperate with Syria in the field of free zones.
