International Women’s Day: Social justice awareness campaign in Hasaka

Hasaka, SANA – To mark the occasion of International Women’s Day, two-month project of social awareness campaign organized festive and entertainment events for women and children with the participation of a number of private charities.

The events included popular and athletic activities, as well as honoring a number of women in the field of charity and humanitarian work who had achieved inspiring success.

The director of the campaign, Mohammad al-Jassem told SANA correspondent that the project that is carried out by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), and it is being holding at the same time in the cities of Hasaka and Qamishli and a number of Syrian province.

He added that the project aims to develop community’s culture and aware people about laws and regulations governing public life.

He went to say that it is a good opportunity to boost social cohesion between all social and popular components with a focus on equality between man and woman and equal opportunity principles.
