Damascus, SANA –People’s Assembly discussed during a session on Thursday, chaired by Speaker Hammoudeh Sabbagh, the performance and the plan of Tourism Ministry.
The Assembly also discussed different issues related to the work of the Ministry and the MPs called for concentrating on internal popular tourism projects and promoting religious tourism.
For his part, Minister of Tourism, Bishr Yazigi, said that the Ministry is working on continuing the reconstruction of tourism industry to be a major contributor to economic and social growth of the country, affirming that planning is underway for setting up and developing tourism projects.
Yazigi concluded that the government is facilitating investments and helping investors resume their tourist projects to overcome the challenges they face during their work.
