Qassemi: Turkey should stop its aggression on Afrin city

Tehran, SANA- Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Bahram Qassemi, called on the Turkish regime to stop its aggression on Afrin city in northern countryside of Aleppo, warning that the continuation of this aggression will destabilize the country and help the return of terrorists to Syria.

In a weekly press conference in Tehran on Monday Qassemi stressed that the Turkish government should follow up all what is related to Syria through the Astana process.

“The consultations between Iran, Russia and Turkey on the Syrian issue are continued.” Qassemi said.

For the seventeenth day, the Turkish regime continues its aggression against the Afrin area by shelling residential neighborhoods with various types of weapons, leaving more casualties among civilians, mostly children and women, and destroying homes, infrastructure and archaeological sites.
