Moscow, SANA- Minister of Communications and Technology Dr. Ali al-Zafir and Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ali Ghanem held during their visit to Moscow a number of meetings with Russian officials.
During the meetings, Russian and Syrian sides agreed to enhance cooperation in the field of rehabilitation and modernization of the Syrian economy’s infrastructure and start new projects in order to overcome the effects of the terrorist war on Syria.
In an interview with SANA correspondent in Moscow, al-Zafir pointed out that meetings with Russian Minister of Communications and Mass Media Nikolai Nikiforov discussed means of cooperation between the two countries, signing a contract to develop the e-government project in Syria.
“Today we are carrying out projects to establish the infrastructure of the information sector, and the Russian side expressed its readiness to train competent cadres in Syria or even in Russia,” the minister said.
Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources said on a similar interview that during a meeting with Russian Minister of Energy Alexander Novak, the two sides discussed all issues related to the oil sector in Syria, adding that they also discussed the obstacles that hinder the work of Russian companies in Syria with emphasis put on the need to overcome these difficulties.
