Damascus, SANA – President Bashar al-Assad on Wednesday issued law no. 22 for 2016 on amending an article of law no. 22 for 2014 on the practice of sworn translation profession.
After the amendment, article no. 2 of the law states that no-one may practice the profession of sword translation for legal equivalence unless they are registered and receive an official license bearing the signature of the minister and the ministry’s seal, and this license is given in exchange for a fee of SYP 25,000 that goes to the state’s general treasury.
