Lavrov calls on Washington to carry out its obligations to separate between “moderate opposition” and terrorist groups

Moscow, SANA- Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov called on Washington to carry out its old obligations to separate between units of the so-called “moderate opposition” and terrorist organizations in Syria.

Russian Foreign Ministry said that Lavrov discussed with US counterpart John Kerry , in a telephone call, the situation in Syria and the ways for “normalizing the situation in Eastern Aleppo where the Syrian governmental forces and the Russian space air forces announced a humanitarian pause.”

Lavrov pointed out that “the possibility of safe exit from the region has been provided,, not only to local civilians, but to members of illegitimate armed groups,” adding that the gunmen obstruct the cessation of hostilities system and prevent civilians from leaving the city.
