Damascus, SANA- Temperatures will drop to become lower than average from 1 to 3 degrees as the country is still being affected by a superficial low air pressure accompanied by southwestern relatively cold and wet air currents in the upper
layers of the atmosphere.
The Meteorology Department expected in its Thursday bulletin that the skies are between clear and partly cloudy in general and misty in the eastern areas and al-Badia (desert).
Local rain showers are expected above the coastal heights and the northwesterly areas.
The winds are western and southwestern on moderate speed, while the sea waves are of low to moderate amplitude.
Rain falls in a number of coastal areas in Tartous and Lattakia provinces. The heaviest rain amounts reached 6mm in Hammam Wasel in Tartous and in al-Haffeh in Lattakia.
The expected temperatures in some main Syrian cities are as follows: Damascus 31/16, Daraa 30/15, Homs 29/16, Hama 32/18, Lattakia 28/22, Aleppo 31/17 and Deir Ezzor 36/18.
