Geneva, SANA-Celine Schmitt, spokesperson for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), announced the launch of an online platform to assist Syrians in their decision to return to their homeland.
The UN website quoted Schmidt as saying during a press conference held yesterday in Geneva: “The Syria is Home platform provides innovative, timely, and objective digital information on the process of returning to Syria, including legal steps, identity documents, access to housing, healthcare, education, and more.”
The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) announced in a statement published on Saturday on its website that more than 1.4 million Syrians have returned to their homes since the fall of the former regime, calling on international donors to increase funding and humanitarian support to facilitate the return of refugees.
