Damascus Countryside, SANA – Three people were killed and others sustained burned due to a fire that broke out in a sewing workshop in Jaramana town in Damascus Countryside.

Head of the Damascus Fire Department Abdelhadi Daher told SANA reporter that the fire broke out in a sewing workshop located in the basement of a residential building in Jaramana, killing three workers and injuring four others who were rushed to a hospital.

Daher said that fire trucks from Damascus Fire Department rushed to the site to assist the Jaramana Fire Department and help transport the injured and the bodies, adding that the lack of equipment at the Jaramana Fire Department reduced the ability to save workers.
