9 new breaches of cessation of hostilities agreement observed

Lattakia, SANA-The number of breaches of the cessation of hostilities agreement by the terrorist groups in Syria reached 1049 since the agreement came into force in February 27th.

The Hmeimim-based Russian center monitoring the agreement, said Tuesday that 9 breaches of the cessation of hostilities agreement were observed over the past 24 hours, in Damascus and its countryside, Lattakia and Hama.

The center added in a statement that terrorists of the so-called Jaish al-Islam attacked with mortar shells a number of towns and areas in Damascus and its countryside, while the so-called the Free Army (Jaish al-Hur) shelled a number of towns in Hama

It stressed that a number of areas in Aleppo and its countryside were targeted by the terrorists of Jabhat al-Nusra and the so-called Jaish al-Fateh terrorist group affiliated to it.

The statement indicated that 4 towns in Lattakia province have joined the cessation of hostilities agreement in Syria, raising the number of the towns and areas which have joined the agreement to 448.

The cessation of hostilities agreement in Syria is not applicable for the ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra and other terrorist organizations mentioned in the international list of terrorism.
