Al-Zara power plant targeted by terrorist rocket attack

Hama, SANA- Terrorist groups on Saturday targeted with rocket shells al-Zara power plant and workers’ housing in Hama’s southern countryside.

A source at Hama Electricity Company told SANA that terrorists targeted al-Zara power plant with three rocket shells, causing significant damage to the plant’s generators and causing them to shut down.

Earlier today, the source said that terrorists fired a rocket at the power plant which put one of its substations out of service.

The source said that the company’s maintenance workshops immediately went to the area to repair the damage, adding that another rocket shell was fired on the plant workers’ housing, causing material damage to one house but no casualties.
