Aleppo Governor, Indonesian Ambassador discuss bilateral relations

Aleppo, SANA- Aleppo Governor Mohammad Marwan Olabi discussed on Wednesday with Indonesian Ambassador to Syria Djoko Harjanto means to enhance bilateral relations in a way that reflects positively on the two countries.

The Governor briefed the Ambassador on the attacks experienced by the city of Aleppo at the hands of armed terrorist groups and the crimes committed by these groups against innocent civilians.

He pointed out that the visit of the Indonesian Ambassador to Aleppo will open new fields of mutual cooperation in various fields.

In turn, Harjanto said that his visit is part of the efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and to discuss future cooperation, affirming keenness to promote relations with businessmen in Aleppo and calling on them to visit Indonesia to learn about the available opportunities for joint cooperation.

He stressed his country’s support to Syria in combating terrorism, adding that Indonesian universities will offer scholarships for Syrian students soon.
