Moscow, SANA-Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov called on UN Special envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura to unify efforts of “foreign players” to help push the Syrian-Syrian dialogue, saying that the US and Russia are committed to support this dialogue.
“Washington and some European capitals have to play an important role in activating the political process,” Lavrov said during a meeting with de Mistura according to Sputnik news agency, hoping de Mistura’s visit to Moscow would be an important stage in the preparations for a new round of talks in Geneva.
He added that any side in the latest round of talks didn’t reject its outcomes, affirming that Russia support de Mistura’s efforts for the settlement in Syria.
