Lavrov, Kerry to boost coordination on supporting “cessation of hostilities” agreement in Syria

Moscow, SANA-Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his US counterpart John Kerry affirmed the necessity for boosting coordination between the two countries to support “cessation of hostilities agreement” in Syria.

“During a phone call, both sides called for boosting the Russian-US coordination through military channels to help adhere to the terms of the truce and expand access to the besieged regions to deliver the humanitarian aid,” SPUTNIK news agency quoted a statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry as saying.

The statement added that the two ministers discussed, in details, means of settling the crisis in Syria according to UN Security Council resolutions No. 2254 and 2268 and the task of “The International Syria Support Group.”
