Moscow, SANA – Presidential Political and Media Advisor Bouthaina Shaaban said supporting Syria and solidarity with it was the headline of the Valdai Discussion Club meeting for international dialogue which was held in Moscow.
Shaaban, who participated in the Club activities, told SANA’s correspondent in Moscow that Syria was the most prominent subject at the Valdai Discussion Club, with all lectures and interpositions using Syria and the Russian-US relations regarding Syria as the basis for what regional and international relations should be in the future.
She said that the contradictions and accusations in the US administration’s statements regarding Russia are part of the shift in the international arena, as the US is aware that the future doesn’t belong to it which is why it shows such floundering.
Shaaban said the discussions of the Club meeting were very satisfactory, as most of the participants – who included representatives from India, China, Europe, and American, Palestinian, and Arab research centers – opined that the future belongs to China and Russia and new rising powers.
She added that positions towards the government of Turkey’s Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the Club were very strict, but not Turkey as a state, as a former Turkish foreign minister contributed to discussions and was supportive of finding ways to combat terrorism.
During her participation in the Club, Shaaban met researchers, experts, and representatives of Russia mass media outlets, affirming to them that the Syrian government has always been working towards a political solution for the crisis, and that the states that support terrorism in Syria must be stopped.
