Damascus, SANA- The Central Bank of Syria (CBS) on Sunday managed to fix the USD exchange rate at SYP 334 for transfers.
CBS said in a statement that it continued selling foreign exchange to citizens through currency exchange companies and set the exchange rate of the USD at SYP 386.
The statement added that the implementation of resolution no. 703 regarding imports which was issued by the Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade in coordination with the Bank and the decisions that followed it will contribute positively to improve the exchange rate.
CBS pointed out that some manipulators are trying to pull the market to fake prices that have no economic or military justifications in order to create price bubbles then to make illegal profits.
