New York, SANA- The Takfiri terrorist organizations prevented a joint team of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) from entering the towns of al-Fouaa and Kefraya besieged by “Jaish al-Fateh” terrorists.
“The joint team had to postpone the mission to al-Foua’a and Kafraya upon receiving reports from armed groups that more time was needed to finalize security arrangements in areas under their control,” Reuters quoted the United Nations as saying in a joint statement with SARC and ICRC, adding that “they will continue efforts to reach the town”.
According to the statement, “A third round of aid was delivered to the besieged towns of al-Foua’a and Kafraya on Monday in conjunction with the entry of humanitarian aid to al-Zabadani and Madaya in Damascus countryside.”
“UN, ICRC and SARC teams on Monday delivered fuel to Madaya, al-Fouaa and Kefraya, and delivered food and medical supplies to al-Zabadani,” the statement pointed out.
During the past week, two humanitarian aid convoys of 39 trucks have entered al-Foua’a and Kafraya towns while two humanitarian aid convoys of 90 trucks have entered Madaya town under the supervision of the UN, ICRC and SARC.
