Qamishli National Hospital receives 4 tons of medicines and medical equipment from UNICEF

Hasaka, SANA – Qamishli National Hospital in Hasaka received on Sunday 4 tons of medicines and medical equipment provided by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).

Chairman of the hospital Dr. Omar al-Aakoub told SANA reporter that the shipment included medicines and emergency medical equipment and supplies for surgical operations.

The aid, he noted, is meant to help enable the hospital meet the needs of the increasing numbers of patients visiting the hospital after the National Hospital of Ras al-Ein and a number of medical centers have gone out of service due to terrorist acts.

Late in December 2015, 4 tons of kidney solutions provided by the Health Ministry were handed over to Qamishli National Hospital.
