Al-Ghabbash inaugurates new and rehabilitated specialized departments at Qamishli National Hospital

Hasaka, SANA- Health Minister Hassan al-Ghabbash opened on Wednesday in the General Authority of Qamishli National Hospital new specialized departments, including burns and prosthetics departments, and other rehabilitated departments which include emergency, intensive care and kidney, in addition to equipping the hospital with modern medical imaging devices, including a CT scan and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Al-Ghabbash affirmed in a press statement that the opening of these departments comes within the framework of the Ministry’s continued work in providing health care through its institutions in different provinces, strengthening investigative, therapeutic and preventive medical services for citizens, improving their quality, and developing the health reality in different regions.

The Minister pointed out that the hospital’s emergency department has been equipped with a new multi-slice CT scan that get a full-body data set and is equipped with advanced technologies and applications, as well as a modern magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) device, with the aim of developing diagnostic methods and reducing the financial burdens on citizens.

Al-Ghabbash pointed out that the kidney department includes 6 dialysis machines with all their accessories, the burns department includes an operating room and its accessories, and the intensive care department includes 12 beds equipped with everything a patient needs in intensive care.

In turn, the Director General of the General Authority of Qamishli Hospital, Dr. Omar al-Akoub, pointed out the importance of the new departments and equipment that were put into service and their role in improving the health care provided to citizens.
