Putin: Attempts to whitewash terrorists is complicity in terrorism

Moscow, SANA – Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that any attempts at whitewashing terrorism and condoning terrorists must be considered as complicity in terrorism and in crimes.

During a ceremony to accept credentials from several new ambassadors in Moscow, Putin said covering up terrorists and their illegal trade of oil, people, drugs, artworks and weapons continues as some continue to earn hundreds of millions and billions of dollars on that.

He blamed the rise of the “nightmarish” phenomenon that is ISIS terrorist organization on the inaction of some countries and others’ direct support to the terrorists.

Putin expressed hope that a wide international alliance will eventually be established to fight terrorism in a coordinated way and be a united force to support the Russian military operation against terrorism in Syria.

Russia, he said, will continue its efforts seeking an agreement about settlement in Syria within the framework of Vienna talks.
