Moscow, SANA-Russian President, Vladimir Putin, stressed on Monday that the sanctions policy adopted by the West, which aimed to hit the Russian economy, has failed.
Putin, in a speech during a meeting on social and economic issues, said that Western sanctions and the strategy of economic war against Russia failed to achieve their goal.
He added that the main negative factor on economy in recent times is the pressure of sanctions imposed by Western countries, noting that the goal was to undermine the financial and economic situation in Russia quickly to cause panic in the markets, also to collapse the banking system and the shortage of goods in stores on a wide scale, but they failed to achieve their goals.
