Damascus, SANA – The General Command of the Army and Armed Forces said after a series of successful operations, the army managed to breach the defenses of the ISIS terrorist organization and establish control over Kwairis Airport and a number of strategically important areas near the airport.
In a statement on Tuesday, the army’s spokesman said the army inflicted heavy losses upon the ISIS terrorists, adding that the achievement is part of a series of successful operations that resulted in establishing control over Tal Na’am, Nou’ima, al-Nasseryeh, Jdeida, al-Jabboul, Tal Sab’in, al-Sheikh Ahmad, Kwairis Shamali and Kwairis Janoubi.
The General Command stressed the army’s keenness on pursuing and eliminating all terrorists, vowing to carry out its duties and restore stability and security to the entire homeland.
