Updated- Monday weather forecast.. Temperatures drop, rain showers expected

Damascus, SANA Temperatures will slightly drop to become around their average as the country is still being influenced by a low air pressure accompanied by a moderate wet air currents in all layers of the atmosphere.

The Meteorology Department expected in its Monday bulletin that the weather will be cloudy in general; rain showers are expected in various areas in the country.

The winds will be western to northwestern of light and moderate speed, while the sea waves will be of light amplitude.

The expected temperatures in the major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 20/10, Aleppo 18/10, Homs 20/10, Lattakia 24/13, Hasaka 16/10, Sweida 16/10, and Hama 22/11.

On Tuesday, temperatures continue to drop to become lower than average and the skies will be clear to partly cloudy in general; local rain showers are expected over the coastal, northern regions and al-Jazira.

In turn, Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform said that the heaviest rainfalls during the past 24 hours in the Syrian provinces were 36mm in al-Safsafeh in Tartous Province, 27 mm in Tal Kalakh in Homs province, 22mm in al-Qatlabiyeh and al-Bahlouliyeh in Lattakia province, 20mm in Ein al-koroum in Hama Province and in 1mm in Quneitra city.
